Life Center of Galax is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate for the night shift at one of our off-campus houses. You will provide compassionate personal care under clinical direction, maintain patient safety, and document vital information in medical records.

The role emphasizes urgent attention to patient safety, empathy, and teamwork with nursing staff, with benefits including health coverage, PTO, and retirement plan options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and a positive, structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise at 15-minute intervals as required.
• Document timely and accurate clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist in creating a safe, comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and report to nursing staff.
