Job summary

Life Center of Galax is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to provide personal care services under clinical or nursing supervision. You will maintain a safe, empathetic environment while supporting daily living activities and participating in patient education and treatment groups.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.
Conduct safety checks and supervise at 15 minute intervals as required.
Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient's medical record.
Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff.
Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
Assist with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration, etc.).
Take vital signs and document in the patient record as assigned.
Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups and activities aligned with treatment goals.
