Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Behavioral Health Supervisor to lead and oversee a clinical program and ensure high-quality patient care. The role supports the healthcare team by coordinating daily operations, managing staff, and contributing to patient care as needed.

You will drive staffing decisions, coach staff, participate in hiring and terminations, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering patient-centered care in a dynamic behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully licensed SW (LMSW) or licensed professional counselor (LPC).
• Must be Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or on a development plan.
• Must have a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) or be willing to get on a development plan.

Responsibilities

• Determine, coordinate, and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
• Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations, applying progressive discipline when appropriate.
• Participate in hiring and termination procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.
• Participate in direct delivery of care depending on patient census, completing patient evaluations and treatments as needed.
• Oversee, coordinate, and control the admission, customer service representatives, and case management departments in accordance with established policies and procedures, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
