Job summary

COPE Community Services, Inc. in Tucson seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist to join the treatment team. The BHS will supervise daily milieu of programs and assist clients with daily living skills, groups, and activity therapy.

You will read and implement each client’s treatment plan, provide positive cues and redirection, and work with staff to maintain a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have AZ driver’s license with clean/acceptable record.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Must be able to work Wednesday 12:00pm–6:00pm and Thursday–Saturday 6:00am–6:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and facilitate daily milieu of programs/services as assigned.
• Assist with activities of daily living skills.
• Lead educational and community/recovery groups and activity therapy.
• Read and implement each client’s treatment plan.
• Provide clients with positive cues and redirection.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's or master's degree (preferred)

Peer Support Specialist certification (preferred)
