Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. in Fitchburg, MA seeks a part-time Behavioral Health Specialist (20 hours/week) to provide high-quality behavioral services within Day and Residential programs. Compensation is hourly at $26-$31 with a $1500 sign-on bonus; work schedule is Monday through Friday as agreed with the supervisor.

The role involves developing plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, data collection, and ensuring DDS regulations compliance. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Preferred three years of professional level experience in ABA/relevant field and intellectual disabilities/autism.
• Must be 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, daily use of a car on site and available by telephone for daily contact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized behavior plans, providing staff training and support as requested.
• Collaborates with BCBAs, House Managers, Program Directors, parent/guardians, and DDS Service Coordinators for planning and delivery of services.
• Review and interpret data prior to making behavior plan changes.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments using staff interviews and direct observation to gather information.
• Initiate baseline data tracking for new behaviors, providing forms and instructions to direct staff.
• Develop transition plans for new referrals.
• Complete ISP behavioral assessments following the ISP schedule on the Behavior Plan Tracking sheet in Excel.
• Ensure least restrictive/aversive interventions are considered before more restrictive/aversive interventions are tried.
• Participate in Risk Review meetings and Human Rights Committee meetings when requested.
• Make recommendations for additional clinical, psychological, forensic evaluation, therapy, and other outside assessments as needed.
