Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist for our day habilitation and residential programs in Brockton, MA. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with an hourly rate ranging from $26 to $31, based on experience, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• Preferred three years of professional ABA/relevant field experience.
• Must be 21+ years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized behavior plans, providing staff training and support as requested.
• Collaborates with multiple team members, including BCBAs, House Managers, Program Directors, parent/guardians, and DDS Coordinators, to ensure planning and delivery of services.
• Review and interpret data prior to making behavior plan changes.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments using staff interviews and direct observation.
• Initiate baseline data tracking for new behaviors and provide forms to staff.
• Develop transition plans for new referrals.
• Complete ISP behavioral assessments per schedule on the Behavior Plan Tracking sheet in Excel.
• Ensure least restrictive interventions are considered before more restrictive ones.
• Participate in Risk Review meetings and provide data related to risk.
• Participate in Human Rights Committee meetings when requested.
• Make recommendations for additional clinical evaluations when needed.
• Develop and maintain tools for carrying out behavioral plans (visual schedules, token systems).
• Ensure timely response to behavioral requests by the Clinical Supervisor.
• Provide training in behavior plan development and DDS regulations as needed.
• Complete behavioral section of Service Needs Assessment for day habilitation sites.
• Apprise Clinical Supervisor of requests and observations.
• Be knowledgeable in emergency restraint procedures.
• Review incident/restraint reports and identify trends.
• Assist with behavior graphs for psychiatric appointments.
• Ensure plan compliance with DDS/Medicaid regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
