Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Safety Specialist in City of Industry to maintain a safe environment for clients, visitors, staff and physicians while delivering strong service. The role includes screening, access control, and emergency response.

Requires CPR/BLS, California driver’s license, and BSIS registration (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). Weekend shifts (Sat-Sun) are included and growth opportunities exist through paid CEU trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or ONE year of relevant experience.
• BA degree in related Mental Health field.
• Active Security Guard Registration with the California BSIS, OR the ability and commitment to successfully register within 90 days of employment.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid California Driver’s License with a driving record that meets company eligibility policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for all clients, visitors, staff and physicians through direct and indirect interactions.
• Screen incoming clients/visitors for contraband and inventories all client property, monitor surveillance equipment.
• Control access to the center and conduct security checks of the center grounds.
• Respond to fires and emergencies and oversee milieu to support quality client care.
