Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group seeks a Safety Specialist for its 24/7 walk-in outpatient urgent care in City of Industry, CA. The role maintains a safe environment for clients, visitors, staff and physicians, with direct/indirect supervision and emergency response.

You will screen for contraband, monitor surveillance, control access, and uphold safety protocols while delivering compassionate service. Shift: Sat & Sun 7am–7:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year of relevant experience.
• BA degree in related mental health field preferred.
• Active Security Guard Registration or ability to register within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining a safe environment.
• Screen incoming clients/visitors for contraband and monitor surveillance equipment.
• Control access to the center and respond to emergencies or fires.
• Maintain vigilance to support quality client care and safe operations

This care is provided through direct and indirect physical and verbal interactions with clients, modeling appropriate behaviors for clients, and monitoring daily client activities. She/he screens incoming clients/visitors for contraband and inventories all client property as well as monitoring surveillance equipment. The Safety Specialist controls access to the center, answers/directs incoming clients, conducts physical security checks of the center grounds, and responds to fires and/or emergencies at the center.
