Job summary

OpSam Health in San Diego County is seeking a Behavioral Health Coordinator to manage psychiatry and therapy scheduling, provide MA support during sessions, and ensure smooth patient flow across behavioral health services.

In this role, you will prepare patients for visits, coordinate labs and referrals, and maintain accurate documentation within the EHR, supporting access and continuity of care in a busy FQHC setting.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant qualification required with demonstrated competency in MA duties.
• Minimum of three years of professional Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience using an electronic health record and managing provider schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build and review psychiatry and therapy schedules in the EHR using approved templates.
• Provide MA support and coverage for psychiatrists as needed.
• Prepare patients for visits, rooms, vitals, and essential screenings.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and follow-up; track completion and route results.
