Job summary

San Ysidro Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Behavioral Health Providers in a multi-site clinic. Under supervision, you assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures, manage administrative tasks, and help coordinate patient care.

You will perform screenings, document in EHR, prep rooms, handle inventory, and support referrals while maintaining confidentiality and providing bilingual communication in English and Spanish (or other languages).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program per California Medical Board.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, Tagalog or Arabic.
• Proficient in computer use and basic clinical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes chart preparation and huddles with Provider to plan for scheduled patients.
• Performs routine clerical tasks and data entry; screens and schedules appointments.
• Screenings include PHQ9, GAD7, DAST, AUDIT.
• Documents patient information in the EHR and maintains confidentiality.
• Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination.
• Assists with immunizations, medication administration, and infection control.
