Job summary

Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Danville seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to lead nursing staff on a behavioral health unit. The role focuses on patient safety, staffing, and adherence to clinical policies in a high-acuity inpatient setting.

The successful candidate will have a BSN preferred, an active RN license in Pennsylvania, and a track record in leadership, mentoring, and coordinating care for both adult and pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in the state of PA.
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in any setting required.
• 1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
• Some leadership or charge RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates census and acuity changes and allocates nursing resources accordingly.
• Role models customer service and patient safety priorities.
• Enforce and interpret policies for delivery of patient care.
• Ensure proper staffing, coverage for call-offs and vacations.
• Document medical and behavioral health information and nursing care.
• Administer medications and maintain records per policy.
• Coordinate care with physicians and diagnostic information.
