Geisinger Behavioral Health Center in Danville, PA seeks an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing strategy and clinical excellence in a state-of-the-art inpatient behavioral health hospital. You will partner with the CEO and Medical Director to champion nursing leadership and drive patient outcomes.

You will mentor nursing leaders, oversee workforce planning, ensure Joint Commission and CMS compliance, and advance safety, quality, and performance across the organization as part of

Formación

• Active RN License (Pennsylvania or eligible for reciprocity)
• Proven nursing leadership experience as a CNO, DON, ACNO, or equivalent senior nursing leader
• Behavioral health experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting required
• Strong strategic, operational, and leadership capabilities
• BSN required; MSN or advanced nursing degree preferred
• 6+ years of RN experience (10+ years preferred)
• 3+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience
• 2+ years of behavioral health nursing experience within an inpatient psychiatric environment
• Thorough understanding of Joint Commission, CMS, and behavioral health regulatory requirements

Responsabilidades

• Lead nursing strategy, clinical excellence, and operational performance
• Develop, mentor, and support nursing leaders and frontline staff
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards
• Drive workforce planning, staffing effectiveness, and nursing resource management
• Partner with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
• Monitor quality indicators and champion performance improvement initiatives
• Support employee engagement, retention, and leadership development
• Influence organizational planning, decision-making, and long-term growth strategies
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, compassion, and patient-centered care
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice and continuous quality improvement
