Job summary

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, coordinating physician orders and diagnostics, and maintaining up-to-date charts, MARs, and safety protocols in a busy behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
• Current RN license in the state where the facility operates.
• 1 year or more experience as an RN; psychiatric/recovery setting preferred.
• Experience in leadership roles such as charge RN is preferred.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates census and acuity changes; allocates nursing resources accordingly.
• Model customer service and urgency for patient safety.
• Enforce policies for delivery of patient and resident care.
• Ensure proper staffing for each unit and manage coverage for call-offs/vacations.
• Document medical and behavioral health information and nursing care.
• Mentor and train staff; ensure regulatory compliance.
