The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse at Community Health Systems, Inc. provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to deliver safe, evidence-based treatment during nightly shifts.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, emergency response, education for patients and families, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Mississippi.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing in an acute care setting.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Ability to work nights in a behavioral health unit with safety.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered nursing care per the nursing process.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, plans, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop care plans.
