Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Behavioral Health unit. This full-time night shift role features a 3x12 schedule (7p-7a) with rotating holidays and weekends, and includes a $10,000 sign-on for new grads or $20,000 for experienced night shift RNs with a 2-year commitment.

Join our 33-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:9, where you will assess patients, implement care plans, document medical necessity, and participate

Qualifications

• Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QA assessments.
