Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Behavioral Health unit on the night shift. This 33-bed unit serves adults and geriatrics with various diagnoses, and operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:9.

Join a compassionate team committed to high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have NC or compact RN licensure, an ADN (BSN preferred), BLS, ACLS, and PALS within designated timeframes, plus at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Strength in critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delivers care suitable to patient age and condition.
• Documents medical necessity in the patient record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely QI assessments.
