Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an RN for the Behavioral Health Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital on a part-time night shift (7:30pm–8am). You will assess patient status, implement nursing interventions, and develop care plans to improve outcomes while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS preferred (ACLS acceptable in lieu); BSN preferred. One year of RN experience, with behavioral health exposure preferred. EPIC EHR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN license current.
• 1 year of professional RN experience.
• Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as RN (or compact).
• BLS preferred; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per plan of care.
• Assess and document patient condition; communicate changes.
• Administer medications, insulin, IV fluids; document.
• Inspect wounds; assist with hygiene and dressing changes.
• Use interviewing skills to gather information for treatment plan.
• Assess for additional injuries or infections and treat.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
