Job summary

Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc. (CMHA) in New Britain, CT is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Home Health team.

The role provides direct oversight and care of Residential and Community Support clients and supervises medication management with the treatment team. The position offers a competitive salary starting at $70,500 per year, with comprehensive benefits and paid time off; RN licensure in CT is required, BSN preferred, and 3–5 years of behavioral health

Qualifications

• RN diploma from an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• 3–5 years in behavioral health/substance abuse nursing.
• Experience with EMR systems and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medication monitoring/administration by nursing staff and maintains MAR sheets.
• Conducts Nursing Health assessments and medication reconciliation.
• Collaborates with treatment team to provide holistic care.
• Reviews referrals and assists with treatment plan development.
• Assesses physical health, conducts screenings, and triages appropriately.
• Monitors compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory agencies; supports QI projects.
• Provides medical/psychiatric education to clients and families; documents nursing interventions.
