Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to join our nursing team in Philadelphia, PA. Full-Time or Part-Time options with Day, Evening, and Night shifts on 8- and 12-hour schedules, plus required weekend rotation and a comprehensive orientation (Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p).

Qualifications

Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Must possess a current RN license as required by the state.
One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance abuse experience a plus.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
Provide nursing care within nursing practice standards and facility policies.
Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed per policy.
Assess patient status and document pertinent information regularly.
Notify physicians of significant changes in status or emergencies.
Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
Demonstrate therapeutic rapport and professional boundaries with patients.
Coordinate unit activities and communicate with the care team.
