Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health's Philadelphia Children's Crisis Response Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the inpatient psychiatric team. The role focuses on triage, stabilization and family-centered care for ages 3–17, with a night shift schedule and every-other-weekend requirements.

The position requires an active RN license, one year of nursing experience (psychiatric experience a plus), CPR and de-escalation/ restraint certification, and adherence to nursing standards and hospital

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license per state requirements.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; first aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care per state and facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed accurately.
• Assess patient status continuously and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status and challenges.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Demonstrate therapeutic rapport while maintaining boundaries.
• Provide direction to unit activities as directed.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
