Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, seeks a per diem Detox Unit Registered Nurse for its behavioral health-focused facility in Reno. You will provide safe, compassionate care in a medical/telemetry environment, following Patient Centered Care principles and UHS standards.

Responsibilities include engaging patients and families, planning and delivering care, and collaborating with the care team to meet educational, physical, and psychosocial needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• One year full time or three years part time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
