Responsibilities

• Completes admitting and shift assessments on assigned patients including behaviors.
• Utilizes critical thinking to analyze patient data and notify physician of changes.
• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment plans and adheres to policies.
• Documents all nursing care and adheres to nursing standards and procedures.
• Implements and records physician orders accurately.
• Monitors patient safety and environment on the unit.
• Educates patients and families and documents in the EHR.
• Applies evidence-based practice to nursing care based on age and clinical needs.
