Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care for behavioral health patients at the DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. The role requires a nursing degree and an active RN license across applicable states, with float experience and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team.

The DPH float position emphasizes nursing practice standards, patient safety, and comprehensive documentation within the Electronic Health Record, with education provided to patients and families as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing and eligible for RN licensure.
• 1 year RN experience (Ministry Float) or 2 years RN experience (Regional Float).

Responsibilities

• Completes admitting and shift assessments on assigned patients.
• Utilizes critical thinking to analyze data and notify physician of changes.
• Participates in development and evaluation of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Documents nursing care in the EHR and adheres to policies.
• Implements physician orders accurately and monitors patient safety.
• Supervises care delivered by LPNs and techs.
• Educates patients and families and documents education in the EHR.
