Job summary

MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital in New Castle, Delaware, is seeking an RN for a 13-week temporary assignment on evenings and nights. The role offers a flat rate of $65 per hour, with potential conversion to full-time after the contract and a $5,000 conversion bonus.

Requirements include a current RN license, at least 1 year of nursing experience (psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus), CPR and de-escalation certification. Training and orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed properly.
• Assess patient status and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
• Demonstrate therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Coordinate unit activities and communicate with patients and staff.
