Job summary

MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital in New Castle, Delaware is seeking an RN for Admissions on the night shift (11:00pm–7:00am). Base pay is $39.53–$43.66/hr with an additional shift differential of $2.75–$7.00/hr, depending on shift and experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• One year of clinical or observational experience preferred.
• Active nursing license in the state required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation for all admissions and obtain admission orders.
• Facilitate emergency transfers when needed.
• Review referrals for medical and behavioral acuity.
• Coordinate admissions including assessments and consent.
• Perform insurance benefit verifications and pre-authorization.
• Monitor patient status during admissions.
• Prepare and maintain medical records for payor authorization.
• Admit patients to registration and accounting systems.
