Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Adult Male Floor. This full-time Days shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm) includes rotating weekends.

You will provide patient care, patient and family education, supervise groups, and support crisis intervention in an inpatient/outpatient behavioral health setting. Requirements include an active State RN license, current BLS, knowledge of mental health laws, and experience on inpatient/outpatient

Qualifications

• Must hold current and valid State license as an RN.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
• Experience with inpatient/outpatient behavioral health units.
• Understanding of continuum of care in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, education, and emotional support.
• Lead therapeutic groups and crisis intervention as needed.
• Record histories, support diagnostics, and administer treatments.
• Administer medications and assist with follow-up and rehab.
• Educate patients and families on illness management.
