Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking a part-time RN - Clinical Educator for the Behavioral Health Unit at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. The role focuses on designing and delivering orientation and ongoing education for direct care providers, with a strong emphasis on safety and evidence-based psychiatric nursing practices.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with five+ years in acute care, including behavioral health, and holds a Maryland RN license.

Qualifications

• RN with current MD license or eligibility in Maryland.
• Five years of acute care experience, with behavioral health/psychiatric experience preferred.
• BSN is required; MSN preferred within five years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver orientation and ongoing education for Behavioral Health staff.
• Assess learning needs and evaluate educational programs for competency.
• Promote evidence-based behavioral health nursing practices and standards.
• Mentor staff and collaborate with nursing leadership on education needs.
• Ensure ethical nursing practice per Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code.
