Job summary
Shorewood Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with adolescent patients ages 11-17. This role involves day and night shifts, with hours from 7:00 am–7:30 pm and 7:00 pm–7:30 am.
The position emphasizes direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the treatment team. You will assess health and behavioral needs, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Must possess a current RN license as required by the state.
- One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain medical records and educate patients and families.
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status.
- Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
- Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport with patients.
