Job summary

Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is actively seeking a full-time Adolescent Registered Nurse for the day shift (7am-7pm) with rotating weekends. The nurse will care for patients aged 13 to 17 in an inpatient behavioral health setting, ensuring safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, rounding, medication management, documentation, milieu management, and teamwork. Eligible candidates must hold an RN license, graduate from an accredited nursing program, and

Qualifications

• RN licensure to practice in the applicable state.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.
• CPR/SAMA certification required during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessments and rounding.
• Medication management and accurate documentation.
• Milieu management and maintaining safety of the unit.
• Collaboration with medical staff and care teams.
• Demonstrate leadership in the team and crisis intervention when needed.
• Provide health education to patients and families.
