Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; first aid may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Follow nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure legible physician orders and accurate transcription.
• Assess patient status and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
