Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport seeks a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for the first shift (32 hours) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with every other weekend and some holidays.

Qualifications

• ASN required (degree in nursing)
• CT RN license required prior to hire
• BLS certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire
• MOAB training or ability to complete training as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients.
• Perform bio-psychosocial assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to revise goals and interventions.
• Lead and co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
• Delegate tasks to nursing staff to maximize quality of care.
