Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Residential Coordinator to supervise referrals and admissions for out-of-home behavioral health services. You’ll liaise with utilization management, residential providers, care management staff, and external partners to assure timely access to appropriate care and quality treatment settings.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, exceptional organization, and ability to build cross-functional relationships across provider networks and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in behavioral health system operations or care coordination is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate residential treatment referrals and admissions for out-of-home behavioral health services.
• Identify clinically appropriate residential providers based on member treatment needs.
• Manage referrals, track responses, and document facility activities.
• Collaborate with behavioral health homes, providers, and partners to ensure timely information for facility reviews.
• Monitor referral status and facility timelines to minimize delays.
• Serve as primary contact for residential providers and internal stakeholders.
• Respond urgently to disruptions, denials, or changes in member circumstances with alternative options.
• Participate in utilization management rounds and case reviews.
• Facilitate meetings with residential providers to improve outcomes.
• Coordinate with Care Management, Utilization Management, and Quality Management to support care continuity.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting per policy.
