Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Residential Coordinator to manage admissions for out-of-home residential treatment. You will coordinate referrals, identify appropriate providers, and collaborate with care management and behavioral health teams to ensure timely access to quality treatment.

The role requires clinical knowledge, strong organization, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams across provider networks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Arizona behavioral health system, behavioral health network operations, and community-based treatment resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) and electronic documentation systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time within Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate residential treatment facility referrals and admissions for members approved for out-of-home behavioral health residential treatment across multiple levels of care.
• Identify the most clinically appropriate participating residential treatment providers to support the member's treatment goals.
• Manage the residential referral process, including distribution of referrals, tracking responses, and maintaining documentation.
• Collaborate with behavioral health homes, treating providers, and community partners to ensure timely submission of clinical information for facility reviews.
• Monitor referral status and facility timelines to promote timely access to care and minimize delays.
• Serve as primary contact for residential treatment providers, behavioral health homes, and internal stakeholders.
• Respond urgently to facility disruptions, denials, or changes in member circumstances by coordinating alternatives.
• Participate in behavioral health utilization management rounds and interdisciplinary case reviews; present member cases.
• Facilitate meetings with residential providers to support collaboration and improve outcomes.
• Partner with Care Management, Utilization Management, Quality Management to support continuity of care.
• Identify, elevate and address concerns with leadership.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and tracking tools per policy.
• Support projects, reporting activities, and operational initiatives in residential treatment coordination.
• Apply care coordination principles and established policies to promote quality outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field
