The University of Vermont seeks a Research Laboratory Assistant to conduct day-to-day tasks for studies testing interventions to reduce substance use, including data management and participant coordination.

Responsibilities include maintaining databases, recruiting participants, verifying consents, administering questionnaires, conducting interviews, managing equipment, coordinating remote procedures, and assisting with IRB-approved protocols and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a related field such as psychology, social work, or medical areas.
• One or more years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management.
• Attention to detail and an interest in behavioral health research.
• Experience with study management or with researching participants is a strength.

Responsabilités

• Run day-to-day tasks for research studies testing interventions to reduce substance use.
• Maintain study databases, recruit participants, meeting with participants, verify participant consents, administer questionnaires and conduct interviews.
• Manage equipment and supplies, coordinate remote study procedures, and oversee distribution of participant compensation.
• Assist Principal Investigators with IRB-approved protocols, progress reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
• Maintain files and records and protect confidentiality within University guidelines.
