You will oversee the Behavioral Health audit program, ensuring coding, billing and documentation meet payer, clinical and regulatory guidance. Responsibilities include conducting random and targeted quality reviews, identifying error trends, performing root-cause analyses, coaching auditors, and recommending process improvements to strengthen quality and performance.

Job description

This is a remote opportunity. The Behavioral Health Quality Analyst oversees work performed within the Behavioral Health audit program to ensure EXL’s standards for accuracy are met. Audits validate the accuracy of Behavioral Health coding, billing, and documentation against the medical record and applicable payer, coding, clinical, and regulatory guidance. The Quality Analyst performs random and targeted quality reviews to confirm that audits are accurate, complete, consistent, and appropriately supported. This role also identifies error trends, conducts root cause analyses, provides coaching and feedback to auditors, and recommends process improvements that strengthen quality and performance.

• Salary Range: $60,100 – $98,700
• Location: 100% Remote (U.S.-based)
• Up to 10% annual travel (for team meetings and limited client onsite engagements.)
