Job summary

The Department of Human Services in Pennsylvania seeks a Human Services Program Representative 1 to strengthen behavioral health services and support counties in meeting program standards. You will work with providers, review information, and contribute to statewide efforts to improve mental health and substance use services.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• You must meet PA residency requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Veterans’ employment preferences may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to county and provider staff on regulations and requirements.
• Collect, review, and analyze program information to assess compliance with standards.
• Share findings and recommendations with agencies and partners.
• Track corrective actions and support resolution of issues.
• Conduct on-site visits to evaluate services and confirm reports.
• Develop clear reports for committees and oversight partners within timeframes.
