Qualifications

• Master of Science or comparable experience required.
• Current NY license as Mental Health Counselor or equivalent; and LMSW license or doctor licensure as applicable.
• 4-6 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.
• Doctor of Psychology or comparable experience acceptable in lieu of Master’s credential.
• Current NY license to practice psychology or related field, with applicable certifications.

Responsibilities

• Promotes department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
• Leads the activities of assigned Behavioral Health staff to achieve department objectives.
• Manages day-to-day activities of the treatment program.
• Participates in program planning and evaluation.
• Coordinates development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures.
• Oversees development and implementation of treatment modalities and assessments.
• Assists Department Head in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains/upholds program policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
• Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates staff performance.
• Ensures timely completion of performance appraisals.
• Arranges staff training to foster optimal therapeutic interaction with patients.
