Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Clinical Support Staff for our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at 2 Wisconsin Circle, Chevy Chase, MD. The role supports licensed clinicians, facilitates group activities, and helps maintain a safe treatment environment for adolescents, young adults, and families.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or is a master's student/recent graduate in a behavioral health field, with strong communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Behavioral Sciences or related field.
Bachelor's students or recent graduates pursuing behavioral health careers encouraged to apply.
Experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, or youth-serving settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Support clinicians during therapeutic groups, psychoeducational activities, and treatment programming.
Assist with group facilitation by encouraging participation and adherence to program expectations.
Monitor client safety and wellbeing and communicate concerns to the clinical team.
Complete client check-ins, check-outs and orientation for new participants.
Observe and communicate client participation and behaviors to support treatment planning.
Assist with room preparation, materials organization, and setup/cleanup for therapy groups.
Support clinicians with administrative responsibilities and scheduling.
Assist in monitoring individuals experiencing emotional distress under licensed supervision.
Participate in crisis prevention and de-escalation per policies and training.
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and organizational standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
