Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Student Trainee to support client services through observation, participation, and co-facilitation under supervision. You will help identify client needs and strengths while upholding program rules and professional conduct.

The position offers exposure to multiple roles within the organization, with hands-on experience in admissions, group facilitation, and client monitoring, all within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients.
• Familiarity with confidentiality laws governing substance abuse and mental health treatment.
• Ability to use computers and various software applications.
• Understanding of case management, rehabilitation methods, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to professional conduct standards and confidentiality guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and training sessions.
• Assist in admission/orientation, including vital signs and safety procedures.
• Co-facilitate educational and recreational groups for clients.
• Monitor and document client activities and interactions.
• Screen and monitor detoxification clients to ensure safety.
• Maintain knowledge of precaution protocols and documentation.
