Job summary

Brightli in Missouri is seeking a Student Trainee to support client services through observation, participation, and co-facilitation under supervision. You will help identify client needs and ensure adherence to program expectations while representing the agency professionally.

This internship provides exposure to various roles within Brightli, hands-on experience, training, and a pathway to future opportunities in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s/master’s/nursing program or above is required for internship eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to professional conduct standards and confidentiality laws.
• Participate in staff and treatment team meetings and trainings.
• Ensure compliance with program policies and behavior expectations.
• Identify client needs, problems, and strengths as part of treatment.
• Document and report concerns related to client behaviors or interactions.
• Co-facilitate educational and recreational groups for clients.
• Assist in admission/orientation processes and related safety checks.
• Monitor client activities and document observations.
• Maintain knowledge of precaution protocols and documentation.
• Screen and monitor detoxification clients for safety and recovery needs.
• Serve as a positive role model and provide support to clients.
• Participate in staff development and contribute to program functioning.
