Sentara Health in Northern Virginia seeks an interdisciplinary Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to provide expert psychiatric care for medically complex and emergent patients across Sentara facilities. You will work with ED, medical, and surgical teams, supported by licensed therapists, behavioral health navigators, and a systemwide psychiatric response network.

Primary assignment at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge with a 7 on/7 off schedule (7a-7p).

Practice Highlights

• Primary assignment: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (Woodbridge, VA)


• Schedule: 7 on/ 7 off (7a-7p)


• Daily co-management of ED behavioral health patients


• Inpatient consults on behavioral, medical, and surgical units


• Virtual consult support to Sentara Rockingham Memorial Center, and Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital


• No inpatient psych admissions (handled by dedicated inpatient psychiatrists)


• Strong interdisciplinary support: APPs, therapists, navigators, case managers

Key Responsibilities

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $306,134.40 - $338,374.40 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full‑time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
