Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department across facility locations, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, federal and state regulations, Oceans’ Mission, and Performance Improvement Standards.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate patient care, support infection control and patient safety, and foster staff development in partnership with hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing management and adherence to nursing standards.
• Ability to supervise staff, manage budgets and improve quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and nursing service activities to positive outcomes with staffing and safety considerations.
• Supervise nursing personnel: workload, delegation, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Accountable for nursing performance improvement and quality of care.
• Develop data tools, identify trends, collect data, and report monthly to Performance Improvement.
• Oversee safety regulations and participate in facility safety activities.
• Support infection control and standard precautions policies and procedures.
• Support patient safety issues with Hospital Administrator; review incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with patient care, documentation, policies and unit guidelines; allocate staff per unit.
• Direct training for nursing staff and ensure licensure, continuing education, CPR, and de-escalation program.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
