Job summary

Summit BHC in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and oversee nursing services, ensuring safe and quality care in a behavioral health setting. The role directs staffing, budgeting, policy development and compliance, collaborates with executive leadership, and maintains patient-centered, evidence-based practices while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Three+ years of managerial nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred.
• Strong skills in assessment, regulatory requirements, budgeting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Sets vision for nursing practice and manages daily operations of nursing services.
• Develops and interprets policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Oversees medication management, safety, and infection control within regulatory requirements.
• Holds staff accountable and leads staff through hiring, orientation, performance assessment and coaching.
• Collaborates with leadership to plan, implement and monitor budgets and strategic initiatives.
