Job summary

Summit BHC is hiring a Director of Nursing for Stone River Recovery Center in San Antonio, TX. The role leads nursing operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives quality and safety in behavioral health care.

You will oversee staffing, budgets, medication management, and infection control while collaborating with executives to meet facility goals and patient needs. Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health is required, with RN licensure and CPR/de-escalation training a must.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Three or more years of nursing practice experience.
• At least one year in psychiatric or behavioral health is required.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Sets the vision for nursing practice and directs daily nursing operations.
• Collaborates with leaders to ensure safe, timely, and efficient care.
• Develops policies and procedures aligned with standards and regulations.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, training and performance management.
• Oversees medication management and pharmacy coordination.
• Leads infection control and safety programs and budget planning.
