Job summary

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to support the Behavioral Health Emergent Response Team. The role is weekend-focused and based at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD.

Under Medical Director supervision, the PMHNP will assist physicians in all aspects of psychiatric care and work closely with the patient care team across various settings, including

Qualifications

• Two years of patient care experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience assisting physicians in psychiatric care and collaborating with Behavioral Health team.

Responsibilities

• Assist attending Behavioral Health physicians in all aspects of psychiatric care.
• Collaborate with attending physicians for patient management across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Support the Behavioral Health Emergent Response Team on weekends at UMUCH Bel Air, MD.

Job Requirements University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has an opening available for a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Job Specifics:

• Position will be primarily weekends to support the Behavioral Health Emergent Response Team. Position will be located at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD.
• Under the direction of the Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner will assist attending Behavioral Health physicians in all aspects of psychiatric care.
• All work will be performed in close collaboration with attending physicians responsible for the patient.
• Psychiatric services provided in a variety of settings, including Inpatient, Psychiatric Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, as well as an Urgent Care Walk-In setting
• Excellent opportunity to work within a vast behavioral health continuum.
• Ideal candidate will have at least two years of patient care experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Work Experience Master of Science with completion of a PMH Nurse Practitioner program. Hold an unrestricted license in the state of practice.
