Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Leader to direct nursing operations on assigned units. You will supervise and coordinate care, lead interdepartmental teams, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a patient-centered, empathetic approach.

The role demands strong RN leadership, budget oversight, staff development, and a focus on patient safety and quality initiatives in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher strongly preferred
• Current RN license in state required
• Three years as RN strongly preferred
• Two years RN experience required
• Two years of prior RN experience with the facility population preferred
• One year of prior experience with the population required
• Prior experience as a house supervisor strongly preferred
• One year of charge RN or other administrative experience required
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available)

Responsibilities

• Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity; allocates nursing resources.
• Role models customer service expectations and prioritizes patient safety.
• Accountable for standard of care at the facility; provides consultations in care delivery.
• Serve as a clinical and service resource to nursing staff and others.
• Coordinate safe care between departments and disciplines.
• Oversee activities of staff; manage unit operations and workloads.
• Recruitment, hiring and training of new staff.
• Develop and deliver educational programs for staff.
• Develop and implement facility policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports on program status and quality initiatives.
• Plan budgets and approve expenditures; provide direct care when needed.
