Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center / Mount Sinai Behavioral Health seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager and lead the team in delivering high-quality care. You will supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, participate in hiring, coaching, scheduling, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, a CT RN license, and at least 2 years in behavioral health, with some management experience. BLS/CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required to practice as a Nurse Manager surrogate.
• RN license valid in Connecticut is required.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• 2+ years Behavioral Health nursing experience preferred.
• Management or supervisory experience (e.g., charge nurse) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager in overseeing unit personnel and safety.
• Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff for throughput and coordination.
• Involve in hiring, performance management and staff development.
• Promote safety, excellence and continuous improvement.
