Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Nurse IDD for a full-time, weekday schedule in Ohio. The role includes managing psychiatric and medical needs, performing screenings, and administering medications in a supportive care setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to educate patients, coordinate services, and help clients improve emotional regulation and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• RN license and accredited nursing program.
• Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel within assigned service area.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address behavioral and physical health needs of clients with psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health screenings and monitor vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications as needed; monitor and educate about pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate case management and community services.
• Assist clients in building skills for emotion, stress and interpersonal relationships.

LPN $23-$25 per hour

RN Salary $64k-$71k per year

Responsibilities may include:

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administering injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.

Requirements for this position include:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
