Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Elyria, OH is hiring a Behavioral Health Nurse IDD for a full-time, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm position. You will assess behavioral and physical health needs, perform screenings, monitor medications, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

RN candidates require an accredited nursing degree and active RN license; travel within the service area may be needed; prior psychiatric/behavioral health experience is preferred.

• RN license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services preferred.
• Willingness to travel within assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.

Behavioral Health Nurse IDD

Full-Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

No Weekends

LPN $23-$25 per hour

RN $64k-71k per year

Responsibilities may include:

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.

Requirements for this position include:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.


• RN license.
