Family Care Center in Cedar Park, TX seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations under physician/NP supervision. You will escort patients, take vitals, document information, and assist with injections and telemedicine. EMR experience and MA training are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of formal training program as a medical assistant required.
• 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; EMR experience preferred.
• RMA or CMA certification or preferred.
• BLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document chief complaints, allergies, meds and pertinent information.
• Measure vital signs and record them in the patient chart.
• Communicate with patients as instructed by the physician or NP.
• Provide prescriptions as directed and document appropriately.
• Ensure labs and reports are uploaded to the patient record before appointments.
• Under supervision, communicate abnormal labs to patients.
• Triages portal and phone messages and coordinates with physicians.
• Document adverse reactions to medications in charts.
• Maintain logs and checks (e.g., fridge temperatures, meds, sterilization fluids).
• Schedule/reschedule/cancel follow-ups and link to correct authorization.
• Monitor patients during telemedicine and relay notable items to provider.
• Administer injections as needed.
